I nearly lost my lady bits.

I had been wanting to try out the new OPI Gel Color & OPI Axxium for a while so took a punt and headed to my local nail salon, where you can often see about 80 women getting mani pedis at any one time.

I still don’t know if I ended up with the Gel or Axxium but whatever it was, it went on just like shellac and 17 days later it is still going strong, but perhaps yellowing a bit.

I decided to get Alpine Snow on my tips and Strawberry Margarita on my toes. They had me in a comfortable massage chair with my feet soaking in a foot spa and two ladies working on me at once, so far so good.

The results were great, so I decided to give it a punt and ask them about waxing.
I was after all, heading off to Bali that same day and had failed to remember to book at my usual place.

Slightly gross story ahead:
They took me out the back to the waxing rooms and I swear the girl who did my bikini wax looked about 12. Let me tell you, I have never, ever, had a more painful wax in my life.

The wax was scalding hot and despite me telling her, she did nothing about it. She was chopping and changing between strip wax and peel off wax, she then kept ripping at the same patches of skin over and over and over again until I had tears in my eyes.
I was ready to tell her to stop but knew that if I opened my mouth it wouldn’t be words coming out, it would be sobs.

When she was done I hightailed it out of there so fast and discovered later that it was the worst wax job ever, and she had not only burnt me but bruised me also. For crying out loud.

I would have been in better hands if I let The Husband do it...

Anyone else have a horror story to do with waxing?

I went to the David Jones food hall for dinner last Wednesday before my threading appointment at Miss Fox and when I asked for lasagna with garlic bread on the side I was told I couldn’t have garlic bread with my lasagna.

It took a good 10 minutes for the guy to understand that I realized they didn’t come as a meal and that I would pay for the garlic bread separately, by the time I got my food I was prepared to eat the stool I was sitting on.

It was weird lasagna. Kind of sweet. It's hit and miss there.

I got a special package from my brother is currently deployed overseas, and it contained this lovely cuff, a handmade journal, card, and an army patch for The Husband.

I really need to step up my care package skills.

If you were sending a care package to a soldier overseas, what would you put in it? Mum sends him all kinds of foods (tinned seafood anyone?) and what not so I thought I would be a bit more random.

We have been without our car for over a month now whilst it got repaired in Geelong and as we had my Mother In Laws car there was no rush to go and pick it up, but now that we have it back and I can actually get in to the car via the front door like a normal person, my life has been turned upside down.

Ah, modern luxuries.  Who would have thought. We were told that it would cost anywhere from $3,000 - $7,000 to fix it by BMW and it ended up costing $400 at a local auto electrician.

I’ve been pigging out on spinach and ricotta pita too. My mother in law makes the ricotta herself and it is delicious.

Soy beans do nothing for me.

I love soy cheese though and once ate a kilo in 24 hours. The Husband then went and bought another 2 kilos, doesn't he understand that if it is there, I will eat it.

I was lucky enough to receive these beautiful flowers from Lexi who has a blog, Mummy and Matchbox Cars which was incredibly sweet of her! Blogging allows me to meet lots of lovely girls and make new friends!

I think that is one of the best parts about blogging, the people who I have been lucky enough to meet and become great friends with.

I need to start doing more interesting stuff, I have nothing to blog about!!
