A banana!

I love Wednesdays because it means my ‘What to Expect’ app updates with a new fruit to show how big The Baby is, well, except for last week when it was stuck on mango for two weeks –that was a let down.

This week (20 weeks) the baby is the length of a banana. As I had a banana in my drawer, I thought I may as well have a photo with my awkward excited face and banana taken.

So, here you go.

My hair looks so flat and awkward here but don’t stress about it because after these photos were taken I headed to see Luna at Miss Fox for my first haircut since March.

It’s fresh and bouncy again, take my word for it.

This dress is like the magic ‘hide a belly from front on’ dress. I guess that is with all black dresses though.

I got this dress back in 2010, from where else but Target of course.  I even found the post where I first wore it, here.  I was definitely skinnier back in the day, it looks far less fitted. 

I turn on the side and BAM in your face.

I wore this dress with the tie around the front all day before realizing when I was taking it off that its meant to go around the back.

I forgot that I even had this dress but since our washer/dryer is not working and I had a melt down about having no clean clothes that fitted me, I ransacked my wardrobe and this little baby worked a treat. 

I don’t know what to do about shoes.  I have two pairs that currently fit me but during the day when sitting down my feet seriously swell up. I have a fan on under my desk but then my feet get cold. It’s not a good situation I tell you.

So, once again, the ol’ faithful Target comes through with the goods. Y'all must be getting sick of it by now though.

I remember when I wanted a dress I saw in the Target catalogue online, but the city store didn’t have it so I rang Southland and had it put on hold there – I rang Geefa and asked him to go and get it and he was really concerned.  He asked if I was having money problems and could only afford Target.  He is so funny. Target is cool Geefa, trust me. 

Another good thing about this dress is that my waist seems to have come back to say hello.

About time, I've missed you old girl. 

I finally hit over 1000 followers on Instagram, which isn't that many compared to some other people but it made me excited. 

I also received this extra cute package from Greta of Style High Club blog.

She is an air hostess with Emirates, and sent me this adorable Emirates themed package – can you believe that they have baby onesies (The first and last picture)?! Seriously, who knew??!?!? So cute!

China Glaze Thunderbird

My latest polish has been China Glaze Thunderbird which I like more than I thought I would. When I first received my polishes, I painted one nail per colour and didn't love it but after seeing the full effect, I am a big fan. 

My only issue is that after 3 days wear it has chipped quite a bit. Shame.

I would love to know how everyone stores their polishes, should I get an acrylic stand thing? I don't have THAT many polishes though. At the moment some live in a vase and the others live in a shoe box, hidden deep inside my wardrobe. You could get lost in that disaster. 

One thing about this colour is that it has a lot of shine, which surprised me. It is also kind of shimmery.

The Weekend

Standard run down of my weekend via Instagram/iPhone photos!

This is me upon arriving home. My plane outfit consists of Lorna Jane Leggings, Lorna Jane Bra, Bonds Singlet & Bonds Hoody.  

 I have wanted this Veuve Fridge Case for yonks. It is so cute. For some reason S was against me getting it other times that we saw it, but at Duty Free it is hard to say No.

On Saturday we were meant to have our 5 year reunion but it was cancelled because only 12 people RSVP'd. How tragic.  It was Saras birthday so headed to her house for a little spa party.

I wore my Supre dress tucked down to be a skirt, white Kookai singlet, Target jacket, Windsor Smith wedges and Cole Haan hand bag.

Damn I need to maintain this tan!!

This is Saras plywood Moose head. I am so obsessed with it. S said we can get one when we move (as if we will ever find a new house...) so I am excited by this prospect!!!

After eating so much fruit in Fiji I am going to make a concious effort to eat more at home. You can't see it clearly but my fruit bowl is a La Rochere "Napoleonic Bee" bowl. So cute.

iPhone Pics

It's that time of the week. Time to spam ya'll with my recent iPhone pics.

I'm slowly embracing winter hats. Why wouldn't I? They keep me so toasty.
At work last week I got called into one of the partners office, and on the way was trying to think what I had done wrong recently, or at least, what had they found out that I had done wrong?

It turns out they just wanted to thank me for working so hard the last 2 months and staying back after work in neccersary. The other PA was on long service leave so I was picking up her work. They gave me a $500 Myer voucher which I was surprised by! They obviously didn't need to, since I was just doing my job but it is nice to be appreciated

Anyway, I bought 2 new Hi There by Karen Walker dresses, and am trying to decide what else to buy. The above pic is one of the dress prints.
This dress was my Nannas, and it is beyond cute on. I can't wait to wear it and share it with you all. Our Aunty originally gave it to my sister Jo as her wardrobe is pretty much pure vintage, but I loved it so much that Jo gave it to me. I'm greatful that we are both small enough to wear Nannas clothing!

This pic is my screen saver on my phone and my phone is currently going thru a craze where it starts to vibrate randomly, which causes the screen to flash up all the time so I'm always looking at this cutie.

On the iPhone front, my 'silent' option has also died. So annoying but I am trying to hold out until they release the iPhone 5 before getting a new phone.

Loved this Leona Edmiston dress, but was not paying $435 (I think that's the price) for a dress that I have no occasion for.

The only occasion I could think of was a romantic dinner on our honeymoon, and pairing it with sandals. Meh.

OPI - Isn't that precious?

This is one of those annoying polishes where 4 coats still is not opaque and you can see the line where your skin ends behind the nail.

Last night, like majority of nights, S and I ate out.

We went to Dumpling Sisters on Exhibition Street which is a real rat hole of a place to look at, but good food.

I went to Trak on Toorak Rd on Saturday. I had heard such great things about it but wanted to leave as soon as we got there. It was no place for my Lisa Ho dress, that's for sure.

I was standing at the bar, waiting to order my water when this little muzztech who no doubt would have worn his bumbag in if he was allowed strutted up to me. This is how the convo went:



Muzztech - Heyyyy. Whatcha drinkin'? Can I buy it for you? Do you come here often? Like ya dress. Wanna dance? What's ya name? Where you from???



Me - What's with 21 questions? I'm drinking water, no you cannot buy it for me as it is free. I don't come here often, this is the first time and definitely the last time. I don't want to dance with you. I'm from Melbourne.



Muzztech - *rolls his eyes* we are all from Melbourne, I mean what suburb are you from?!



Me - My suburb is called MELBOURNE. My post code is 3000. CBD - You know, Central Business District?!!?!!?!

Me - No. *insert death stare and walk away*


Why do I always attract the young muzzas who look like they would prefer to be at home eating a meatball sub, wearing Kappa trakkies with a bum bag and peaked hat?!


I was in a foul mood as I was sick, sober and the oldest person there. When you are 22 that's terrible.



I need a hair cut. I have one booked for 2 weeks before the wedding.

I also have curly hair.

Every morning at work I drink warm water with lemon and honey.

This morning I accidentaly dropped the lemon in. Oh well.

Has anyone else noticed that Babybel cheese has changed? Not for the better either.

The taste is not what I remember.

I went out for coffee with Greg of both Morning MC & Excuse to Begin fame last night. I was at the gym, sweating it out with hair oily enough to fry an egg on when he rang. He was sporting this man bag.

He also had on one of Geefas old suit jackets.

Today I am wearing this purple silk skirt that I had made in Thailand. I might do an outfit post later. Perhaps. Time will tell.

I never order coffee so I don't have the pleasure of having my name mistaken for something else.

Mimco Limited Edition Necklace, 1 of 50. $450.

I nearly bought this on the weekend for my bridal Statement necklace but realised it is just too much going on. It is actually 2 necklaces, and a bracelet which can all be seperated. If I was not trying to be budget concious then I would have bought it just for fun. It's gorgeous.

I still have not worn these Christian Louboutins out!
