Same old stuff.

Look, here is something you haven’t seen before.

Me, cross eyed in the bathroom mirror, in a colour block dress and wedges. Fancy that.

I quite like this dress, it’s light and comfortable.  Good for the warmer weather. 

I feel sorry for my work, I try and be well meaning and wear a blazer but I am just roasting at my desk despite my fan working overtime. Every day is like Casual Friday for me.  I try and make up for it with my charm though.  Not sure how that is working for me.

It’s online, but appears to be sold out. You can see it here any way. I think it was about $29.  If ordering online from Target maternity, I say stick with your normal size as I have still been an 8 in all their stuff, but their sizes do fluctuate a lot. 

A bump and a flash of cleavage. 

I went to the ballet with Merowyn last week and on the way I was roped in to buying a crepe from the enthusiastic French fellow despite my planning to get grapes from the fruit man next door.  I regretted it so quickly, they were not stingy on the nutella let me tell you.

 I haven’t been enjoying sweet stuff very much this pregnancy, I'm all about the savoury. 

The ballet was beautiful! People were in tuxedos and I was very under dressed because it was 30 degrees and my feet were swollen so I just had on sandals, this blue Kookai dress and a long necklace.

Before the ballet, I had a threading appointment and then had my hair blow dried but raced home to soak my feet in cold water for a bit as they were in agony. Glad I did as I needed to change necklaces anyway. This does not match at all. 

We decided to put the baby in her cot from the very start, and to have a day bed in the nursery for me to nap on if I want to between feeds rather than going back to our room.

I was hard at work trying to decipher how I could fit a day bed in the nursery when it dawned on me that I couldn't get the previously shown change table.

Never mind, I ordered the matching Incy Interiors change table.  At least it matches the cot and I got it for 20% off thanks to Tegan's keen spotting. 

Look, everything is cut to scale. It will fit, but wont leave much room to do ballet or get crunk. 

I've found all the décor for the room that I am getting, except the rug. I need to see the room finished and then will decide whether to get one or not. 

Anyway, I am out of nonsense to type about. 

A banana!

I love Wednesdays because it means my ‘What to Expect’ app updates with a new fruit to show how big The Baby is, well, except for last week when it was stuck on mango for two weeks –that was a let down.

This week (20 weeks) the baby is the length of a banana. As I had a banana in my drawer, I thought I may as well have a photo with my awkward excited face and banana taken.

So, here you go.

My hair looks so flat and awkward here but don’t stress about it because after these photos were taken I headed to see Luna at Miss Fox for my first haircut since March.

It’s fresh and bouncy again, take my word for it.

This dress is like the magic ‘hide a belly from front on’ dress. I guess that is with all black dresses though.

I got this dress back in 2010, from where else but Target of course.  I even found the post where I first wore it, here.  I was definitely skinnier back in the day, it looks far less fitted. 

I turn on the side and BAM in your face.

I wore this dress with the tie around the front all day before realizing when I was taking it off that its meant to go around the back.

I forgot that I even had this dress but since our washer/dryer is not working and I had a melt down about having no clean clothes that fitted me, I ransacked my wardrobe and this little baby worked a treat. 

I don’t know what to do about shoes.  I have two pairs that currently fit me but during the day when sitting down my feet seriously swell up. I have a fan on under my desk but then my feet get cold. It’s not a good situation I tell you.

So, once again, the ol’ faithful Target comes through with the goods. Y'all must be getting sick of it by now though.

I remember when I wanted a dress I saw in the Target catalogue online, but the city store didn’t have it so I rang Southland and had it put on hold there – I rang Geefa and asked him to go and get it and he was really concerned.  He asked if I was having money problems and could only afford Target.  He is so funny. Target is cool Geefa, trust me. 

Another good thing about this dress is that my waist seems to have come back to say hello.

About time, I've missed you old girl. 

I finally hit over 1000 followers on Instagram, which isn't that many compared to some other people but it made me excited. 

I also received this extra cute package from Greta of Style High Club blog.

She is an air hostess with Emirates, and sent me this adorable Emirates themed package – can you believe that they have baby onesies (The first and last picture)?! Seriously, who knew??!?!? So cute!

Random Pregnancy 'Fashion' So Far.

Yeah okay, perhaps that heading is a bit of a stretch.

I don’t really do fashion, I just wear whatever smells the least in the morning, ha, I kid... kind of.

I’ve found maternity dressing to be painful, mainly because I am rather partial to nipped in waists and full skirts on a dress. I am embracing stretch though, and waving farewell to zips.

These skirts from Target are not maternity but I sized up and got a 10, so with the elastic waist band they are working for me now. 

They seem to be pretty easy to wear too, throw on a singlet and a necklace and bam! out the door.

It just looks like I have a gut here. That is awkward.

I am living in this dress. 

It comes in pink, grey, blue and green and you can bet your bottom dollar that I am getting them all.  

It is so comfortable, I could sleep in it. It is also long which makes me and my ugly knees happy.

I feel like when I wear a dress above my knee that people are judging me for being a slutty pregnant woman.

Of course, I was stunned when I realised that Kookai's largest size is a 2. Weird. 

I wear a 2 in pregnancy so that my belly has enough room to grow, and just cannot comprehend that this is the biggest size.

I got this dress from Country Road and then returned it the next day. I had a pregnancy brain freeze when I purchased it, considering I knew it did not fit well. 

After posting it on instagram (sneakily not wearing it as had not announced pregnancy yet) people said it looked like a hospital gown so I am glad I returned it.

Sigh. 

The colour is magnificent though.

The same night that I got this dress I got 3 more dresses and a belt, all which were returned the next day when I realised that I hated them all and had a little body breakdown.

Well, this looks a tad different from the last time I posted about wearing this dress when I was 6 weeks pregnant haha! You can see that blog post here. Look, I even had collar bones back then! 

The waist band on this is getting a bit snug around my rib cage so I think I only have another month or so to get wear out of this, if I am lucky. 

16 Weeks

Fancy that, the Kookai dress is back in action but this time with a red ribbon around the waist. 

Well, where my waist used to be! 

As you can see, I only have 3 pairs of shoes in rotation at the moment haha.

No, I'm not pregnant, but I do figure that this dress will be very handy on a day when I plan on eating a lot. Oh wait, that's every day!
