I was lucky enough to be approached by Lauren from bellabox Australia about whether or not I would be interested in receiving and reviewing the March bellabox on Domestic Divinity.
As you can imagine, I jumped at the chance! I’ve heard a lot about these beauty sample subscriptions, but have never signed up for one.
I actually thought that they were literally little sachets of samples, and boy was I wrong.
Lauren emailed me Friday afternoon and the package arrived first thing Tuesday morning and I also received three emails from Australia Post tracking its whereabouts.
I had done a little bit of research and was expecting to find a box within a box, but I found this calico bag instead which makes me happy as I can shove it in my hand bag on the way home, and it will also make The Husband happy as I tend to keep all boxes that come into the house on the off chance that ‘we may need it one day’ or ‘it is perfect for storing xyz’.
Lovingly bubble wrapped and a little bellabox sticker. Tick for cute appearance.
The March theme for bellabox is ‘get naked with bellabox’ and this card has a run down on the products that are enclosed, as well as the price of the full sized product and their rating of either ‘Cult, Classic, Eco-Extraordinary, Cult to Come and Innovative’.
U Little Beauty Natural Shine Hair Serum ( Eco-Extraordinary)
Tame your hair daily with Macadamia & Argan oil while being rich in Vitamin C, use a little or a lot based on your hair type.
Full size & Price: 100mls $19.95
The fact that this is the full sized product, and is worth more than the $15 a month subscription fee makes it already worth while. Anything with Argan oil involved usually gets a big fat tick from me, so I am looking forward to trying this out tonight. Luckily it is ‘my hair is an oil slick, must wash before someone fries an egg on it’ night.
I could not resist pumping a little on my hand, and oddly enough the scent reminds me of Sorbalene.
Edit: Well, now I have noticed that this is the Natural Repair Hair Masque, not the Natural Shine Hair Serum as the card said. Shows how observant I am.
I've just washed my hair and used this product and my hair feels fantastic. I did use conditioner after it though as I am wary of just washing oil based products out with only water. So far so good.

Yes To Carrots Lip Tint (Cult)
This all natural brand that uses organic fruits & veggies is finally at hand – or at lip! With real carroty goodness, this luscious little number will have you smacking your lips together….
$9.95, 2.6gms
I was a little bit wary of this as the only way I like my carrots are slathered with Hummus but this does not taste like carrot, fear not.
The tint is dark enough that you need to look in the mirror during/after application, kind of like a lipstick. I made the mistake of not looking, thinking that it was going to be colorless, woops.
Another full sized & full priced product. Excellent!
Bellamer Eye Balm (Innovative)
Need a soothing experience for the soul – and tired eyes? This botanical balm is the yoga of products; relaxing the delicate skin around your peepers and giving it a well-earned rest.
$40 15gms
I’m not about to slather this on at work, so will have to get back to you – watch this space.
Eyelift (Cult to Come)
Pack up your troubles in your Eyelift Kit bag with this amazingly potent product. Use just a quarter of a pod on your delicate eye area to achieve a smooth and seriously alluring surface. A particular success at bellabox HQ!
Pods, potency and a mini spatula – looks like fun!
Lord knows that I can carry my excessive shopping hauls home in the bags under my eyes so this is looking useful already and I haven’t even tried it!!
Pure Fiji Coconut Hydrating Body Lotion (Classic)
Continuing the yummy theme (from the Carrots Lip Tint) is this refreshing and revitalizing product of purity – the smell will win you over instantly.
$29.95 – 354mls.
I don’t even need to bother trying this one. I already have both the 90ml and 354ml in my drawer here at work. This has been my signature scent since our honeymoon to Fiji in November. I wear nothing else but this moisturizer and reapply constantly during the day, leading to people walking past me and proclaiming that something smells like a Bounty. Yes people, this is me. I smell delicious at all times!!
Carmans Rounds – Classic Fruit & Nuts Muesli Biscuit
Low GI & No preservatives
Anyone that sends me free food is a winner in my book.
So, for $15 a month (or $165 for 12 months) you receive 5 products and you can cancel any time. Sounds better than my gym membership which costs $106 a month and has a cancellation fee. Lord knows I am going to use these cosmetics more than my gym membership, ha.
I spend more than $15 a WEEK on Samosas (I hope The Husband is not reading this, he wants me to kick the habit) and they go straight to my thighs. I am definitely willing to spend $15 and receive a package of beauty goodies!
I’ve had a look online at the bellabox website and they are affiliated with some pretty awesome brands that I use regularly (Bloom, Mor, Milk, Lancome, Napoleon etc) and plenty more that I have never heard of. Sounds like a great way to trial products that I may not have ever heard about otherwise.
For me, this is a win win situation. I feel like I need something bad to say in this review, but I have nothing!!
Do you subscribe to bellabox or any of its competitors? What have your thoughts been so far?
Thanks again to Lauren and bellabox for giving me the chance to review this awesome product!! You have a new customer signing up, that is for sure.
