Remember how last week I declared that Black really is the new Black?
Well, I’ve decided to add some color to the palette. My friend Georgie has started her own jewelry making company, G.E.D and I bought a custom listing for $55 and asked her to make me something featuring aqua, white and purple and all the colors in between.
This arrived a few days later.
Completely different to anything I own and child like in a great way.
I needed something to dress up my plain outfits, but not be as dressy as the statement necklaces that I own.
The Husband really likes it, so that is a plus. My niece does not like it, so that is a negative ha.
In the above photo I am wearing a Warehouse Dress, G.E.D Necklace, Zara Blazer & Cole Haan bag.
I have really gotten my money worth out of this blazer and I only got it last week! I swear I have worn it every day since.
The Husband saw it hanging on the dining room chair and said “Is that a new jacket?!?!?!”. Gah. Why and how does he notice these things? I swear he never used to notice if I had something new on, even if it had of jumped out of my closet and punched him in the face all whilst screaming “LOOK AT ME! I AM NEWWWWWWWWWW!!!”.
Now that I am in super saving mode, he notices every.little.thing. God love him. Maybe I just need to get a hair cut, he won't notice that.
Which reminds me, he said “Those wedges are NEW!!!” even though I got them months ago.
I felt like I had a bit of a gypsy look going on here.
ASOS skirt, Forever 21 2-in-1 top, Louis Vuitton bag, Haviana thongs & G.E.D necklace.
I wore pants to work the other day. It was weird.
You know what else is weird (well, more terrible than weird)? My obsession with Dumplings. Last week I ate them 4 times. FOUR NIGHTS DEDICATED TO DUMPLINGS!!!
Funny story for you.
On Saturday night I went out with my sister Cat and her husband Mike who are over from Ireland, The Husband, Marnie (Hi Marnie!!!) and others for dumplings.
Afterwards, The Husband and I went home as he had been in Sydney for the past few days and was tired/hung over and wanted to rest rather than go out with them.
Cat & Mike got home later and at about 4:30am I woke up to someone standing at our bedroom door. It was Mike. I said “Mike are you okay?” and he replied, with his Irish accent “Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom” and just stood there whilst I sat up in bed wondering if I was dreaming this. He then walked away and The Husband woke up (bit late if it was a murderer at the door…) and then we heard the front door open and close. The Husband ran out after him, thinking we would lose him for ever if he left the apartment, and was standing in the hall saying “Mike!?!?!” as he could not see him. He then heard “Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom” coming from the pitch black bathroom and found him in there.
So weird. Turns out Mike was sleep walking. Best sleep walker EVER. I swear I am laughing about it just typing this. The Husband has been laughing about it for days.
The Devil.
After swearing off dumplings, I got home last night from boxing and found The Husband had prepared mussels with a vinaigrette, peeled all the king prawns for me and whipped up some prawn dumplings. He is the best.
I’ve just bought another 10 boxing sessions. Oh yeah. This is addictive!! I think I have done about 10 so far and am loving it. What a work out. You know you have been well and truly worked out when you are drenched in sweat and cannot walk to the tram stop after class. Boom pow.
I’ve had personal trainers before, done boot camp and done boxing classes at the gym and they have all worked me, but nothing like this. What is your favorite form of exercise?
