Shorter Hair & Going Up In Size

How good is a long weekend?!

Yesterday I went and visited my nephews, Thomas and Henry and had a great time playing on the swings and in the sand pit, even if Thomas was determined to wreck my sand castle.

Thomas can't pronounce Maryanne, like every other kid out there (other kids in the family call me Poppet or Mez) and has not figured out how Uncle & Aunty work yet, so he calls me....

Uncle Man

Haha, how cute is that?!?!?! I love it haha.

After our play date I went to Miss Fox for my second peel (more to come during the week, stay tuned!) and saw Luna for a hair cut as I wanted to go shorter.

The Husband told me not to go shorter.
He said that I should not mess with a good thing.
He is a man who likes long luscious locks.
Sorry Husband.

Taa Daa.

As you can see, I went much shorter.

I was confident that I loved it when I left the salon, but then The Husband kind of freaked out, and my confidence was lost.
I didn't know what to do. He asked if I had a hat to hide it, or if I could at least tie it back! I can't.

Then I decided that I love it again after the initial shock from his reaction.

The Husband was cracking all sorts of K D Lang jokes. He is happy that since he is going away on business for a month, it will be normal when he gets back. I better not cute it this short again. Cannot deal with the jokes!!

I think that he was just joking, because when I started to lose confidence he was quick to say that it looks really cute.
He said "I just don't know why you didn't listen to me? You always have to tweak things, but you should not mess with perfection". Poor guy is probably still suffering from the shock of when I first cut it in December.

My lovely friends on Twitter & Instagram love it though, so that is good!!!

I think I will let it grow and go back to first length, when I first had it cut.

You can see that haircut by Luna at Miss Fox HERE - Perfect length I think.
If I never went this short though, I would probably wonder what it would be like and it doesn't take long to grow so it is no big deal. Plus, I like it!!!

In other, pure traumatic, news - I can no longer fit any of my jeans. I'm not kidding.
I only have 3 pairs, and they are all different brands. Levi, Gripp & Bettina Liano.
Do you think that I could get any over my thighs???? No. NO!
I was wriggling on the floor in distress with my jeans stuck on my thighs with my bum hanging out when The Husband found me. I can't believe it.

He said "Maybe it is muscle from Boxing?!?". You can't fool me. I know fat when I see it, especially when it is bubbling up out of pants stuck on my thighs.

I refuse to believe that I have put on that much weight. REFUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, enough woe is me business. Oh wait, no there is more.
I ended up going to Cotton On at the suggestion of my readers when I put the call out for good jeans, and got these bright blue jeans for $39.95.
I tried on the size that I would normally wear and my legs looked like an over filled sausage, but at least I could get them done up, so I went up a size and when I came out The Husband said they looked good and I told him I was not ready to be a size *insert size here*.

Poor guy, did not know how to treat this traumatic experience.  I don't normally whinge much about weight gain so he was fumbling for answers.

I seriously did not know it could be so emotional!!!!

The jeans have already stretched, even though the girl told me they wouldn't, so maybe I should have got the smaller size?! Gah.

I am wearing:
Cotton On Jeans
Caroline Morgan T-Shirt
Zara Jacket
J Crew Necklace
Cole Haan Bag
Windsor Smith Wedges

So, anyone else been emotional over having to go up in size??

Black is the New Black

Friday (/ˈfrd/ or /ˈfrdi/) is the day between Thursday and Saturday. In countries adopting Monday-first conventions as recommended by the international standard ISO 8601, it is the fifth day of the week. It is the sixth day in countries that adopt a Sunday-first convention as in Abrahamic tradition. (See "Numbered days of the week" for more on the different conventions.)
In many countries, Friday is the last day of a five-day working week, and is viewed as a cause for celebration or relief (leading to the phrase "TGIF", for "Thank God/Goodness It's Friday"). In some workplaces employees are allowed to wear less formal attire on Fridays, known as Casual Friday or Dress-Down Friday.

TGIF. You can say that again, sunshine.

I am really over this ridiculous Casual Friday business though. I obviously don't do casual very well.
I tried out wearing jeans and it just was not for me. This is my Casual Friday outfit.

I'm wearing an Asos skirt that I have only worn once before because it got stuck when I tried to pull it over my head, and I was scarred from that. Trust me, laugh if you must, but it was traumatic.

I am also wearing a Caroline Morgan T shirt, Windsor Smith wedges, Kailis Pearl & Hermes Clic Clac.

I have noticed lots of bloggers do a ‘What I am Wearing’ on their face, showing the make up that they have used. It is insane the amount of products that one girl can use every day!!

This is what I am wearing today:

Chanel eclat lumiere
Chanel inimitable intense mascara

Taa Daa.

I still love my iPhone case. It makes me laugh.

My boobs are not really this big. They look like melons here.

I know that The Husband has zilcho interest in my nail polish but I sometimes let him choose. He chose OPI Princesses Rule from the color chart because “It is elegant. Glitter is fun, at somewhere like Back in the Day, but this works everywhere.” Kill me with cuteness.

If you don't know what Back in the Day is, it is a place to get your dose of Hard Rock, Rock n Roll and Metal.

It’s lunch time and you know what that means – I will be in a Dumpling Coma for the rest of the day. MSG will be tasted through out the day.

We have re-scheduled our super awesome date night which includes an amazing dinner and a night in bridal suite, so now I have time to properly select the perfect date night outfit.

Sharing The Love

I hope you guys know by now, but I am all about sharing the love. The love for a good bargain that is.
After finding my wedges on sale, I asked around on my Twitter to see if it would be weird of me to buy back ups of my Windsor Smith Karri Wedges. The feedback was 100% ‘No not weird, smart”. I agreed, obviously.

I found my wedges on Windsor Smith for $48 and signed up to be a member and got free shipping. Hell yes. I cant remember if I mentioned that I returned my black wedges to Myer, so am glad that I now have them again.
For sizing reference, I usually wear a size 6 or 6.5 but in these I have to wear a 7.

You can buy them on Windsor Smith – here, I have even done all the hard work for you.

It appears that lots of girls are buying multiples of items that they love. How about you? I have a few dresses in multiples, but that’s about it so far.
