Monday - Hello!

Just giving you a heads up, there is a photo of a bare pregnant belly at the end of this post.
I know some people get the heebie jeebies from them, or just think they are gross in general so maybe don’t read all the way down!

I spent my Saturday doing the rounds of houses that were Open for Inspection. The first house that I looked at was tenanted, and I am guessing the tenant is not happy about potentially having to vacate judging by the state of the house.  Dirty, smelly dishes were piled high on the bench, there was old food out, clothes everywhere, the floors and walls were filthy.

The agent looked so embarrassed and if I was the owner of that house I would be furious.
It wasn't what I was looking for anyway so I didn't even make it to the bathroom and bedrooms, thankfully.

I did find a house that I really like and it goes to auction this weekend, The Husband says we can bid but we are not going to go over our set price range.  This scares me as there was a fair bit of interest at the OFI but hey, you gotta be in it to win it.  Keep your fingers crossed for us this weekend, this mama needs a house – stat!!

We spent Sunday looking at furniture shops, and came to the realization that we have very different tastes. The Husband kept pointing out gross leather couches and hideous pimp like beds. It really makes me wonder…

In the end, he decided that my taste was better and let me choose.  I'm really looking forward to buying all new furniture and white goods (except our dining table as that was a present from my Mother In Law) and just generally playing house with new, matching furniture.

Now, to buy a house...

I sat in this deck swinging chair thing and The Husband said that we should use it instead of a rocking chair, ha. Funny man.

Whilst on the way to the OFI, I stopped of at Geefa’s house as I was this close to wetting my pants but he wasn't home and told me Bet was but would be in the shower so wait 5 minutes.  I rang and texted Bet to let her know I was loitering outside when she didn't answer the door, but after 15 minutes gave up.  There is only so long that someone can do the “I need to pee” dance on the spot.

The worst part is that if I had of been in any condition to jump the side gate I could have gone to the bathroom as they have an outside bathroom too. I just knew that I would get impaled or fall over or some other catastrophe would have occurred.

I ended up going to Southland for a pit stop, thank goodness for that.  Any excuse really.

I like to walk around the area of an OFI to get a feel for the neighbourhood and on my travels walked past this house and fell in love with it. The colour, the garden, so dreamy!!

I had some time to kill before I had to head to the airport to pick The Husband up so made a pit stop at my favourite fish and chip shop in Sandringham.

I was too lazy to go back inside and ask for some cutlery and ate the fish with my fingers, burning them in the process.  Fish and Chips doesn't make a very pretty portrait.

It was such a beautiful day, I don’t think people can ever be in a bad mood on days like that.

I've had a lot going on the past week or so and forgot to tell you that I went to the baby & toddler expo with Kitty. Or maybe I did blog about it. Now I cant remember.

Anyway, we went to the expo and it was crazy talk. I should have remembered my bad experience with the bridal expo.  There were pregnant women, prams and kids everywhere. The traffic jams of prams we got stuck in was insane, and we didn't even have prams.

The highlight was definitely buying baby food for me to snack on. It was delicious.

There were lots of nifty contraptions which I didn't know existed but there was information overload so by the time we did the rounds we were both exhausted.

Poor Kitty isn't even pregnant, just had to suffer through it with me.

As you can see in the photo, we got bags of freebies galore but aside from a few nappies, baby foods and a night light it was all pamphlets. Boo.

I think that Etsy is probably one of my most frequently used apps on my phone at the moment. I have gone insane I tell you.

Here is some cute stuff that I have found in my travels.

I am definitely getting those cushions and the beanie!

Mobile – Found here
Cushions – Found here
Onesie – Found here
Beanie – Found here

People keep scaring me about it only being 98% a girl and telling me stories about being told their baby was a girl but it popped out a boy!
Well, if this happens I guess our baby will be very metrosexual, ha.

I wasn't in the office on Thursday as I had to pick my mum up from the hospital, and when I came in on Friday I had two packages; one from purebaby which I had ordered and another from Country Road.

I was seriously confused because I hadn't bought anything online from Country Road, ever.  I opened it and was surprised by this gorgeous bunny that Lexi had sent me to congratulate me on finding out that The Baby is a girl! Too damn adorable!! The Baby has two soft toys now, and both are bunnies – I am sensing a pattern here!

I know that babies don’t really wear shoes but I could not resist buying the mouse flats from Seed. I tell you, I tried to resist but I couldn't.  I also couldn't resist buying silver and gold.

I got the silver in 0-3 months so they are more decoration really and gold for 12 months.

I have been craving cheese for a while now. It comes in dribs and drabs and I am not above sending The Husband to the shops for a block of cheese at 10pm at night.

I had to have an old school toastie last night, it doesn't get much better.

Hopefully those who hate belly shots have looked away by now....

My belly button has popped out! Look! It will still come out more but I find it so damn weird.

I swore I wasn't going to post any bare belly shots but hey, here you go.

Please tell me these pop back in after the baby is born? Weirdest pregnancy thing ever.

I have also developed a slight linea nigra all the way down, but that doesn't bother me – although it does highlight my snail trail haha, gross.

I don’t have any stretch marks on my belly or hips yet but have some on the underside of my boobs despite rubbing oils (I will do a post on the products this week) in twice daily.  I know that no studies actually prove that this will prevent them but a girl can try, right?

I am pretty prone to stretch marks, I have multitudes on my bum, thighs and even behind my knees so wont be too surprised if I get them.

I sent this photo to The Husband when he was in Sydney and couldn't help but laugh, its certainly different to any underwear shots he has of me from the past (nothing raunchy, promise).

I heard that people buy maternity underwear but I have just sized up in the stretchy lace top Soho undies from Myer which have been a god send. I must have 5x pairs per colour by now.
My Urban Decay Naked 2 palette arrived from HQ Hair but I haven’t had a chance to use it yet.  I need to better my ‘skills’ or lack of.

Can anyone recommend some great YouTube tutorials or similar online? How can one person be so bad at applying make up?
