On Friday night after work, I went out with my musketeers to celebrate Vanessa’s birthday! (I know you are reading this Vanessa & Celeste!! – HI!!).
Despite the pathetic weather, we headed out to Fog on Greville Street.
For some reason, despite us having a reservation and it being dead most of the time during our meal, we were shoved literally in the very back corner, where it was also super dark. I didn’t think we were that ugly.
I must admit I thought it strange that they keep the bread baskets on the tables, for your arrival, even when no patrons are there. Surely this is not the best way to keep the bread fresh? Oh well. It's only bread.
We were told that the reservation slot was strictly 2 hours, yet we waited over an hour for our meals to be served. We took our time after this, not letting them kick us out.
I want this light!!!

Wagyu Bolognese $30
Over bucatini pasta with fresh chilli & reggiano
Grilled Free Range Chicken $36
rosemary roasted kipfler potatoes, sautéed broccolini with lemon & chicken jus
The meals were really nice, and I struggled to finish my pasta due to the size of it. This is always a good thing.
I can’t remember what exactly Cess & Vaness had, but mine was the Lychee and Ginger Martini which I loved! I don’t normally like cocktails, but this was fantastic.
After our waiter gave up on giving us the subtle hint to get the hell out, we moved to the outside bar where there is also a bonfire section (hello stinging eyes and stinking hair!) but it was raining so we only lasted 1 cocktail each out there. Luckily that cocktail was on the house from some form of manager/owner fellow. This guy had spoken to us at the bar a little bit, and then lunged at my chest. I honestly thought he was going to grab my boob and moved back so quick. Turned out he wanted to see my necklace…… right.
During the day, for Casual Friday, I wore my Sass & Bide Hulsey Strutters (these are going back to the days when Celeste and I worked at Bracewell, so 4 years back – and going strong!), Forever New shirt, Zara Blazer & RMK Wedges. I wore the shirt out, and as it is a size 14 it is more of a dress.
To dress it up for going out straight after work I added a necklace that I bought in NYC and knotted the shirt at the hips.
