Still plodding along..

I'm still here, still pregnant, still plodding along.

I'm only 3 days overdue but it feels like 3 weeks overdue.

My OB has scheduled me to come back in on Wednesday next week and then he will discuss an induction date, so hopefully the little tacker decides to grace us with her presence before then, or else!

40 weeks and 3 days 

The bump still looks so high but it's definitely dropping and the stretchmarks are gathering under my belly like there is a stretchmark convention in town. Oil does crap all, let me tell you that much right now. 

If you are going to get stretchmarks, rubbing oil into your belly twice a day will not defeat them. 

Here is how Cat and I have been passing the time:-

We love us some pancakes, yes, yes we do.

Watching movies, and yes this movie went forever but was good. 

My mind did wander during some parts which makes me wonder how the kids would go with watching it and not getting too bored. 

Walking around Southland and Chadstone for some incidental exercise in the air conditioned comfort.

We walked into T2 and you better believe that the girl behind the counter knew what I wanted. 

She did advise me not to drink it if I wasn't in my third trimester. Sister, believe me, I am beyond that. 

Come one tea, soften my uterus or whatever you are meant to do. Just do something.

This Just Joey rose bush is back in bloom after being hacked pruned by someone who does not live in our household and took it upon themselves to help us out. 

Drinking boost juice and walking around the shopping center some more, very slowly.

We found this puppet in Jasper Junior at Chadstone which is the best toy shop I ever been in.

I will return for this puppet I tell you.  

We also trekked to Baxter to have spicy Indian food with Joey and Emma and before I even started to eat I started to have contractions 20 minutes apart but apparently it was a false labor which is no fun and a let down.

We also went to Seaford beach for a swim with Joey after work that day and he looked at my big belly with fear in his eyes and said "What happens if you blow your waters whilst swimming?!!" 

Yes, he thinks I am a whale with a blowhole. 

This place had the best Butter Chicken, it was amazing.

Who had a Muster?

I was home alone the other night and kept hearing noises.

This is what I looked like every time I heard something creak.

I had to do the ol’ run and jump onto the bed and then hide under the covers, knowing that the covers would protect me if their was indeed a monster under the bed, just waiting to grab my ankles. 

Kittyand I hit up the Pancake Parlour last week. Damn we love that place.

I decided to live life and order something other than the Alice in Wonderland pancakes and tried the Jamaican Banana which was delicious. I’m salivating right now.

We also always gets the Deluxe Fries to share between us, I swear these things are so artery clogging that they are good.

 

Kitty got the Raspberry and Rhubarb but after sharing our mains, I quickly determined that the Jamaican Banana was far superior. 

I don’t know what your snack drawer at work looks like, but this is mine.

At least it isn’t full of snickers I suppose.

Am not sure why there are so many moisturizers in there considering I never use them. 

And this my friends is what my hair looks like after blow drying it straight....

When I was in year 7 I didn’t have a straightener and used the iron on occasion. Then came the Muster straightener which gave me plenty of good years before switching to the GHD.

Is straightener spelt right? My spell check says no, but my brain says otherwise. 

You will have nightmares about this tonight, mark my words. 

I’ve also done a spot of shopping on OzSale the past few days.

I thought this cookie jar would be a cute decoration, and we always need more glasses. Just like spoons, we always need more spoons.

People are Sweet!

Sometimes blogging really does surprise me.

I’ve met so many lovely people through blogging, and am able to interact with so many lovely people through comments and what not.

Of course, there are some bad eggs that try and ruin the fun, but whatevs.

I didn’t expect so much love after my post on Alby, but it flooded in! I had so many nice comments, facebook messages, tweets and even a few emails. You are all so nice!!

Thank you so much! 

I really do appreciate it.

Geefa came over after work and took Alby out of his tank, but not before I yelped “Are you sure he is really dead?!?!” 

He took him in his little red box and buried him next to Lloyd in the garden. 

As my friend Laura said, he is already in Turtle heaven and probably has a little Turtle girlfriend keeping him company.

After work I had to go to a doctors appointment, which only lead to more crap news, and then I met up with Kitty in Myer.

She is so sweet, look what she bought me to cheer me up!! My very favorite candle! The apartment smells amazing right now. Friends that care are the best.

After our short shopping stint which ended up at MAC, buying Girl About Town Lipstick & Magenta Liner we hoofed it to The Pancake Parlor. 

The fun things that one can do without a husband around is amazing. No matter how many times he says to me “Dinner anywhere, your pick” do you think he actually lets me pick The Pancake Parlor? No, think again. Damn him.

Never fear, we well and truly got our hit last night.

I tried out my new Essie Van D’Go polish on Tuesday night, but it reminded me of those cupcakes which tasted like salmon, even though they were not salmon.

The color just didn’t work well with my yellow based skin.

Even China Glaze – Fairy Dust could not save it from the hatred that I hold against salmon.

I took it off 10 minutes later.

I’ve been jamming my feet into those new shoes that I got, despite them fitting perfectly in store they feel pretty snug now.
