I headed down to French Pony on Saturday to play dress ups with my Aunty Maddy and to try on a dress that my mum had bought for me.
Lets be honest here, what girl doesn’t like playing dress ups?!
I just adore this Wheels & Dollbaby Opium dress but would have nowhere to wear it!!
I feel like majority of my wardrobe is planned for a life that I most certainly do not lead, so I need to inject some more casual clothes, which I am slowly doing thanks to Zara.
I have a really short torso, I basically go from hips to boobs and then I have a long chest wall so I am basically a strange creature. This dress was a little long on my front, you cant tell from this photo but it was too long on the back of the neck, if that makes any sense at all.
I didn’t buy this long silk shirt and am having regrets.
Maddy styled it with a fur gilet similar to the one that I already have and it looked fantastic.
Thoughts? Should I go back and get it?
This is the Wheels & Dollbaby ‘Le Chic Pencil Skirt’ which Maddy paired with a sheer shirt with a lace back from Muui.
I loved this outfit and I bought the shirt... now for the skirt!!
There are only a few Wheels & Dollbaby stockists in Melbourne, so French Pony is pretty lucky!
What a great idea for a cupcake stand, perhaps I should utilize my in this way also!
I feel like a crocodile in this dress. A rather stylish crocodile though.
I love it!
This is the dress that mum bought for me, it is a size 10 so too big in the waist but perfect across the bust. I am just going to wear a thicker belt which hides all.
I am SO white here. What is going on?! Need sun, or fake tan, stat.
It can be the sort of dress that I wear when I anticipate that I will be gorging myself on food and will need the extra belly expanding room. I wish all my dresses were like this on second thoughts.
Maddy looking extra stylish.
For those of you who have not seen me post about French Pony before, Maddy is the owner and it is located at 425 Bay Street, Brighton. Closer to the Nepean Highway end of Bay Street.
There is not a website yet, but they do have a Facebook page where lots of outfits are uploaded and for those of you not in Melbourne they can always do phone orders (03 9596 4819).
What was your favorite outfit that I tried on? Does anyone else have the issues of not owning enough casual clothes?
