Yesterday was the wettest September day in 50 years. Great. The one day that I decide to wear open toe shoes. Okay, that’s a lie – I wear open toe shoes nearly every day.

By the time I sloshed home, my hair was ratty – despite my umbrella, and my shoes were wrecked. I cant think of a better excuse for new shoes.

I had to go out to dinner with Lara at The Atlantic at Crown Casino, and decided to catch a cab. In the rain and traffic it took half an hour, whereas on the way home it took 6 minutes. I timed it.

I am wearing my Review Dress, RMK wedges, Sunnygirl cape & Oroton brolly. My hair is courtesy of Mother Nature and her ability to turn the frizz on like there is no tomorrow.

I got some happy snaps to blog at Atlantic, but after uploading them to the computer (and deleting them from the camera in the process) I was faced with The Blue Screen of DEATH.

I hope they are not gone for ever, like the rest of the damn files. We only got the laptop about 5 months back so it is still under warranty - BUT STILL.

I need a new umbrella. This Oroton one has served me well, since I bought it on April 13 2010 (I blogged about it, hence knowing the date), but I need to live life and spice things up.

My cab driver on the way home said to me “You look like my friend. She was the first female friend I ever had. I haven’t had many since. You both have round teeth. I like round teeth”.

Okay. Maybe you don’t have many female friends because you say people have round teeth? I think he meant that my teeth are curved when I smile, rather than straight across. I don't know actually.

When a car cut us off I said “What a dickhead” and he said “Oh no, don’t swear. You are too nice and innocent looking to swear!!!”.

I gave him a crash course in dealing with females. He failed by guessing I was 25, I am indeed 22. I told him – always tell a woman she looks younger.

Anyway, this cabby was super duper sweet and I loved him. I hope he finds a female companion.

Beans. Shellac. Bunnies in Coffee Cups.

This is how my Shellac is looking 22 days after it was applied. I am impressed.

It is still shiny and has not chipped. Considering I type a bazillion letters every day at cut throat speed, which has been the enemy to polishes in the past. If I could get a week without OPI chipping and cracking, it was a miracle.

 This is 2 coats of Romantique. I wanted something soft and subtle for our wedding.

 The re-growth of my nails is annoying, but with a colour like this it doesn’t really matter. I am having them re-done on Saturday. Any shellac colour suggestions?

I have my sister Jo’s wedding next week, and my dress is a mint green kind of colour – I am thinking of maybe having a cream polish or a soft lilac? No idea…

 Has anyone had a french manicure done with shellac? I would like to have that done, with a soft pink over the top so that the white is not too white, but am concerned with how it would look after 3 weeks once my nails have grown. 

Would love to hear any colour suggestions as i've only had Romantique and Gotcha.

 I had to have a latte this morning, with 3 sugars, to kick start my heart.  I have been sleeping an insane amount of hours the last few weeks and am still bone tired every day. I think I should maybe go to the doctors to have a check up, just in case.

I’ve been trying to add beans to more things that I eat lately, and yesterday added ¾ of the can to my lentil and veggie salad. I don’t know why I buy the standard sized cans as I never eat the entire can in one sitting.

Would love to hear some 4 bean recipes that you enjoy.

Symone looked beautiful. Whilst watching her being interviewed with Andrew, all I could look at was her bejweled bust feature. ‘twas glimmering like there was no tomorrow. I love the colour on her also. Good work Symone!

Guys I’m not sure how this girl made it on my best dressed list. She looks like a bedazzled bird.

I think that’s why I like her.

I'm not drunk, promise.

I almost feel like she is taking the piss, but I'm pretty sure she isn't.

This reminds me of Kim Kardashians 2^nd wedding dress. I like it. I’m still surprised by how many bridalesque dresses there were though.

The embellishment on this is exactly what Kims was lacking...

What a ray of sunshine! I cannot flaw this at all. I love how the full length sleeves balance out the low cut neck and back. The colour is magnificent and really works with her. Her hair and make up is flawless.

I did not see Anna on the blue carpet last night, and was surprised when I saw her photos this morning. She looks stunning. I love the dress, it is something different and very classy. She looks very statuesque in this gown.

I like that she is showing that you can wear a red dress to the Brownlows and not have to have everything on show.

Jimmy Bartel you lucky, lucky bastard. He is a total cutie, but she is a goddess. She looks like she would eat him alive, and not stop to spit out the bones.

The emerald hue was practically glowing. I want this dress.

For some reason she reminds me of Beyonce in these photos. Maybe the beowolf fierceness.

Having proclaimed her a Goddess, I might just add that she looks too thin for my personal likings.

To me, Alex Davis rocked the crap out of that Versace dress. I love the nautical inspired-ness and it fit her body like a glove. Amaze. 2nd Best Dressed in the Mez Votes. Saying that, I didn’t like her bracelet choice.

Alex is stunning, is she a model? She is very Girl Next Door beauty.

Kylie Brown

I really like Kylie’s choice. I think the dress was very flattering on her, and a simple classic cut which can never do a woman wrong, no matter what her figure is like. I like her hair also.

There you have it, thoughts? Not many on the list this year.

2011 Brownlow Average Dressed

Ahh. The time has come again, to rip through each of these poor unsuspecting ladies.

I decided to title the list ‘average dressed’ this year. I’d hate to be put on a worst dressed list, but could handle average. Imagine if I went to the brownlow, I would probably be dressed by Big W.

This is just a bit of fun, we all know that some of these ladies only get told they are invited 2 weeks before hand.

I don’t know many names of the girls this year, sorry. Probably a good thing so that when they google their names today they don't see this....

 What is going on here. The lace looks like it was sewn on in the Camry on the way there. Not flattering at all. Not sure about the cuff either. Less is more. Also, is there such a thing as black being too black??

 I wish there were more photos of this lass. The back of this dress looks quite interesting. It's like a snake got dipped in OPI Shatter, and then started to shed it's scales.

Also, her hair would have looked better up, in a nice bun.

Rebecca Twigley rang from 2004, she wants her dress back.

If something has already been done and done well, leave it alone sister.

I want to know who designed this frock. Then I want to make sure I never enter that shop incase I get brainwashed and leave the house looking like this.

It looks like a formal dress circa 1992, crossed with a mermaid who is tangled in seaweed.

The one sleeve thing is creeping me out too. There is way too much going on with this.

When I first saw Lauren Phillips, I thought she had on a jump suit. I still don’t know if it was a dress or not.

I actually like the top part but the bottom part is not doing it for me. Her hair is looking shocking also.

Anyone think Laurens face looked a bit ‘off’ this year? She is normally so pretty. Her arm looks nice and lean.

Who is this and what is going on here? I had a chuckle watching her on the massive Lazy Susan circa 1995 at Ling Wah Chinese Restaurant on Nepean Highway in Frankston. She tried so hard to have her ‘come hither’ face on, and then she nearly stacked it.

I heard her say that if the dress was good enough for Fashion Week in New York, it was good enough for her.

Sorry – it wasn’t good enough for Fashion Week in the first place.

It looks like it has those plastic rings that get stuck on seals from beer cans stuck to the bottom. She didn’t smile once either. A smile can make an outfit 10x better.

Her hairdresser obviously hates her.

I just feel like we have seen this before. Can’t Aurelio Costarella surprise us for once? When Rebecca said that it wasn’t mustard, it’s corn I just thought to my self ‘No, it’s dehydrated urine’. I’ve read around the traps today that people think she has had some work done to her face. Thoughts?

I actually love the cap sleeves though. They are #winning. The shoes however, are #losing. They don’t go with the dress at all, there is already too much going on. Some nude open toe CL’s would have done the trick.

I think her hair looks stunning though. Me likey.

This could have been quite nice, if it was not so ill fitting on the bust. What is going on here?? I wore a sequin covered dress to my sisters wedding and had cut shoulders from it, imagine how heavy this bad boy must have been.

I think this could have worked, but it didn’t.

I like the colour though. Hair tied back in a sharp bun would have worked also.

Is it just me or is this dress 2 different colours? A pearl bodice and a dusty pink skirt? It’s like they added the embellishment to try and disguise that, didn’t work though.

I never understand front slits. Sure, if I had her legs I would probably rock a front slit all day long, but I don’t – therefore I don’t understand them. Very bridal.

There is nothing wrong with this, it just does nothing for her.  

Alright. I am confused, once again. I feel like she belongs in a really sad and gloomy opera. Are they dirty white rosettes on the hips? Not feeling it.

A bodice like this deserves a figure hugging skirt also. She has a nice figure, so should have gone for it. I like her smile though.

I love how many times she announced that she loved the designer so much that they just bought 50% of the company.

Clearly the designer does not love her, or she would make the bodice fit her breasts properly. How hard is it?!?!

Brynne has killer legs. She is/was a personal trainer isn’t she? She can come and train me and turn my pork chops into drumsticks. I like her, she cracks me up. I love her self confidence also.

I want to see close ups of the shoes, any brand suggestions?

Tania Hird. I have nothing much to say, other than I don’t like this on her.

I have never watched The Amazing Race but they tell me Renae Wauhop was on it. I’ll tell you what’s amazing – how that dress did not pop open and reveal her lady lumps, that’s what!!

This was obviously a very “I’ve been on a reality TV show so there will 100% be photos of me and I am going to make sure that they don’t over look me” moment. She has a killer bod though. Cannot say that I blame her for wearing it.

I just don’t like gold lame lightening bolt dresses.

I’m sad that there were not too many shockers.

Also, what was the deal with them having to start in the drive way at Crown? Don’t people know how dirty the floor is??? Not very glamorous.

My major damage was done to my wedding dress when walking from reception at Crown Metropol to the limo, 1 meter away.

Thoughts? Are any of my “Average Dressed” on your “Best Dressed”?
