A girl at work mentioned that the Siman Tu necklace will probably go deep into my cleavage, we don't want that now do we!!

Merowyn from Blithely Unaware (who has just gotten engaged, with THE best proposal - Hurrah!!) suggested I use Candy Spender to have the necklace made. Any other suggestions or reviews on Candy Spender?

Necklace Hunting

After the disaster which was the Vera Wang Necklace I have been spending too much time trawling every Internet site out there for a back up plan. These are the necklaces I have saved on my work computer, there is 100 more at home.

I have honestly searched Etsy, eBay and every designer website in between.

I am leaning towards more brightly coloured stuff now. Why not.

My reception dress is so plain and white that I think it will work.

I am going hunting in Melbourne boutiques, starting with Toorak Rd and High Street, to see what I can find. Fingers crossed, before I go insane. Like Homer Simpson in the haunted house.

No necklace makes Mez go, something something.

Funnily enough, I actually blogged about the matching earrings to these in March 2010, so I feel like it is a sign to get this!!!

I love the colour, it is also S's favourite colour.

I think that it could look great. This is my fave so far. I keep looking at it.

I also have similar colouring to Vanessa, and it works on her. I don't know if it would drip down too low though.

A change is needed..

I know that I have said this so many times, but I really want to chop my hair off and have a bob, with a fringe.

S would die. He hates bobs, and loves long hair. He clearly has no idea how annoying it is to look after.

I got this wig from eBay a few years back for the costly fee of $5 to see if I liked the bob, and I really do love it.

It would be a pretty drastic move though.

Beauty is PAIN.

I wore my orange Zara heels to work today, and no joke, I didn't think I could make it to the tram, they hurt so much.

By the time I got to work, I was limping and had a massive blister. Killing me.

They are really cute though, I'm a big fan.

I'm Wearing a Maternity Dress

Last week I purchased this Maternity dress from ASOS.

No, I'm not pregnant, but I do figure that this dress will be very handy on a day when I plan on eating a lot. Oh wait, that's every day!

I'm not going to lie to you, these Zara heels frigging hurt.

A guy at work heard me exclaim "My dress is a maternity dress!!" and has tried to spread the rumor that I am up the duff.

Vera Wang

I had been deliberating whether or not to buy this Vera Wang Over sized Bead Necklace for a few weeks when Geefa said he was going to America and would collect it whilst he was there. He forgot.

That should have been my sign to forget about it.

It looks clear and silver, and all grouped together to create a substantial statement necklace.

Well, I bought it online from Bergdorf Goodman and 5 days later it arrived.

I ripped into the box, with a few girls from work looking on, them knowing what was in the box and being excited to see it.

It was like pass the parcel, so many different layers or tissue paper and then another box, and then another bag within the box, and then a black Velvet pouch within the bag.

Prepare to be disappointed.

It honestly looks like a necklace from Diva that you might pay $9.95 for, not $895.

Disappointment plagued me all day.

I had so many images of the stunning necklace with my otherwise quite plain reception dress.

Sigh.

I thought that if buying Vera Wang, you could expect quality?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it is not a nice necklace, but I don't think the quality, or style is what was represented in the photos, and by the price.

Thankfully Bergdorf offer a full refund within 60 days of purchase.

It's back to the drawing board for me when it comes to reception necklaces.

Does anyone have any good suggestions?

I figure that if this is the worst thing to happen to my wedding planning, I'm doing well so far!!

Wedding Hair...

I have my first wedding hair and make up trial on Saturday, and I am slightly worried as I don't know how I want my make up.

I want to say, "I want to look like me, but flawless, and better" and hope for the best.

Knowing my luck I will look like Marge in The Simpsons episode when Homer makes the make up gun and shoots marge in the face with it, then realises it was set to whore mode.

I have finally decided how I want my hair, I will wear it down.

No changing my mind.

Is it hard to attach a veil when your hair is out?

ZARA Yo.

As you probably know by now, the Zara circus has come to town.

I was adamant that I would not line up for Zara, but I did line up for about 2 minutes this morning.

I also went on Thurs and Fri after work but walked straight in.

Here are some photos that I took on Thursday, before being advised, politely, by security that cameras are prohibited! Whatevs.

A lot of the clothes are brightly coloured, and on trend, and I don't really do either of those styles well, but there are still lots of basics and classic pieces that I have my eye on.

Whilst I have heard that the quality is really poor, I don't agree, considering how cheap the prices are, it is better quality than most other chain stores.

Love this little dress, which was $69.95 but they are all out of small sizes.

I noticed that there was hardly any small sizes at all actually.

Basic button down cardigans in all colours for $29.95.

Like my new Zara heels?

I saw these yesterday and they had 5 pairs left, and only one size 36.

I literally had $50 to my name, so rang S and asked him to come down, but he was in Malvern and did not make it in time.

We went back today to get them, and they were GONE!!

I was devo. I found the black pair on the otherside of the store, and snatched them up.

When we were making our way to the register I saw a glimpse of orange underneath a display table and scooped them up, it was the 36! You would think I had just solved cancer by the way I reacted. #winning.

The Life of a Zara Bag

Geefa must be so proud, having a Zara bag as a daughter.

Zara bag chilling out and loving life.

I also bought some black pants, which is really saying something as I don't really wear pants that are not jeans, due to the fact that my big toosh and thighs/hips don't agree with pants, but I bought some capri pants for $49 which are full length on my short stubby legs. Winning.
